He soon becomes much more than the average Watcher, his past catching up with him and life taking mean turns. Giles is often the voice of reason and the "stuffy librarian". But he still has a bit of a "Ripper" left in him from his youth...

Kingdom of Heaven

Mario and I were in London and the only thing we wanted to see when we went to Leicester Square that Monday was "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". But then we kinda stumbled over the premiere of "Kingdom of Heaven" in the Empire. And guess who was there with his daughters? Anthony Head. Cool.

Pancho Villa

William Benton

... is a British ranch owner in Mexico with lots of acres and lots of cattle. No wonder the revolutionary Pancho Villa alias Antonio Banderas doesn't like him all that much. So Pancho "robbed him blind" and Benton is understandably pissed...

I'll Be There

Sam Gervasi

He is the manager of the Love Rats, a band around lead singer Paul Kerr. Paul and his band are long split and now Paul is a bit on the messy side, steering his motorcycle through a window - totally drunk.

Sam isn't there to help Paul, he thinks Paul is a lazy drunk. But when Sam hears Paul's daughter sing, he thinks he might just be back in business...

It's a nice and funny movie - hey, it's Craig Ferguson. And topped off with a bit of Tony fun. (oh, that jumper is colorful...)

James

James is in his late fourties, divorced and wealthy. Like Terry, a guy he considers his best friend, James wants to date women half his age and play around with boy toys. But unlike Terry he never really succumbs to the temptations of total shallowness. Underneath the lost boy charme and the macho boastings hides a nice guy who's trying very hard to be a jerk.

We love him in shorts and wet hair, well that is what his Aide told him the polls said anyway. But really he wanted just to come on to the Prime Minister... very clever. Mostly funny. Little Britain is a new sketch show on British television.

Richard Harper

Ben Harper's cousin Richard is getting married. Again. Like, the fourth time. Being Abby's absentee father - he asks Ben to be his Best Man for the wedding. Meaning that Ben has to organize the stag party. He doesn't really listen to his family warning him that he will "suck" totally at this and goes through with his idea of "fun". While the girls party at home with bottles of alcohol, the stag party is a big bore - and Richard gets what he deserves.

Worthwhile watching, not only because ASH does a hilarious slang... the series is absolutely funny.

Peter Salter

He is the legend of the British Secret Serice, a "spook" who has saved Britain's secrets on numerous occasions and has put his life in the service of his country. But now, after the cold war, he finds it impossible to believe in the virtues of a state that is run by managers and PR advisors. And so he turns away, towards a different belief that puts him at odds with the people he works for and the state he now despises. His desperate quest for love and truth will ultimately end in violence and destruction.
